Our first stop is Kingston: Once the provincial capital of Ontario, aka "Limestone City" with the beautiful City Hall, Queen University, Fort Henry, and Royal Military College of Canada. Kingston is a place with a rich maritime and military history. It is conveniently located 240 kilometers from Toronto and halfway to Ottawa, the Nation’s Capital.
In Downtown Kingston. You will have two hours of free time for discovering the historic city center with an optional (no extra cost) tour inside the City Hall. Your guide will also take to Fort Henry and Bellevue House, two historic places in town. You can use your free time in the city for lunch
Departing from Kingston our next destination is Ivy Lea in the Thousand Islands Region at the Western end of the St. Lawrence River, (approximately 40 kilometers from Kingston).
The Region has more than thousand pieces of land are scattered between Ontario and New York where the St. Lawrence River merges Lake Ontario. With a one-hour boat cruise (departing from Ivy Lea, no landing) you will see the historic and legendary Boldt Castle with its tragic past, the Thousand Island Bridge, Town of Alexandria, NY and hear amazing stories about the region including "underwater treasures".
